My expert background in nutrition, fitness, sleep strategies and stress reduction are beneficial in brainstorming ways to make lasting changes. I take a holistic approach to all my lifestyle plans.
Shari Gower has over 20 years of experience in leadership roles as a health and wellness educator, business owner, corporate trainer and executive recruiter. She has worked with clients in private and corporate settings with a proven track record of building programs and leading and supporting clients by inspiring lifestyle changes that promote and sustain well being.
Shari is a Certified Health and Wellness Coach (CHWC). Her commitment to using evidence-based interventions led her to study under Margret Moore, founder of Wellcoaches and co-director of the Institute of Coaching at Harvard, an evidence-based coaching program endorsed by the Medical Fitness Association, the American College of Sports and Medicine, and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She also has a BA in Business and has completed the Mediation and Arbitration Program at Pepperdine University.
Key to her success as a CHWC is Shari’s ability to help clients recognize patterns that promote or prevent achieving healthy lifestyle goals and habits. Using an appreciative approach, Shari reconnects people with their innate strengths, hopes and resilience.
Shari is the founder of DefineIt Personal Training and Wellness Studio with over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry helping individuals change their lives through her personalized fitness, healthy eating and weight management programs. She leads a team of fitness, nutrition and health experts who help clients over the San Francisco Bay Area. Shari is currently expanding services to include health and wellness coaching for people with medical and chronic health conditions seeking to optimize health and wellbeing. Shari is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Cancer Exercise Specialist.
